After being a high-end-makeup enthusiast, I took my time searching for an affordable eyeliner that was soft, pigmented, and long-lasting. My niece suggested this product, and I’m so glad she did! The brown is so rich and creamy, and the formula blends out and “smudges” easily, but once it sets, it stays put. It has held up through tears, sweat, and accidental naps, haha. 🙂 It’s honestly my new favorite, I’m on my third one already!
It’s one of those rare eyeliners that does everything you want it to do. The applicator is precise so you can really do a nice job of following fine detail, and the color is highly pigmented so you don’t need to keep going back over it to get whatever darkness level you want. I find it to be durable as well as easy to apply and very effective is probably the shortest way I can say it, and for the price, it’s an awesome value.
The Gypsy blue color is really pleasing to me. My eyes are a greenish hazel color, and I thought I would try this blue for something different. I have gotten several compliments when I have used this to line both upper and lower lids as it seems to make my eye color “pop”. I also like that it goes on smooth, and once it’s on, it doesn’t smudge or disappear. It can be a bit hard to remove completely, but I don’t mind that. Other eye crayons I have used will seem to dissolve into the moisturizer after a couple of hours, but this stays put.
These are not only used on my eyes but also to accentuate some moles. It’s not very smudge-proof, but more long-lasting than other products. I can wear it for maybe a third of a day without it budging if I don’t mess with it. The pen itself is lighter and thinner than I expected, so if you prefer a heavier/thicker feeling for application, that might be an issue. You don’t have to sharpen the product, so that’s good, you just need to twist and use it. But make sure not to twist too much because it is quite soft and will break off.
Mistakenly, I bought these thinking it was the same brand I had. I don’t really care for it. I find it a little chalky and doesn’t look good on me. I prefer my Ulta brand over eyeliner over this.
As for this eyeliner, it works well. Goes on smooth and looks great. Love the color. My only issue is that it can smear.
